New Private beta is open — transformer families today, switchgear in development

About

Built by the people who live in the model.

APEX is built by construction professionals who've detailed, coordinated, and installed the work — for the BIM and VDC teams doing it every day.

Our story

We got tired of building families by hand.

APEX started where most good construction tools start — on a job, with a deadline, and a Revit library that was nowhere near ready. Our founder came up through electrical contracting and worked as a project engineer on data-center MEP — watching teams burn 2–4 hours modeling every family by hand from PDFs a manufacturer had already published.

Every project meant rebuilding the same content from scratch, then watching that hard-won model never quite make it to the field. The gap between what was coordinated in BIM and what actually got laid out, surveyed, and installed was where the hours — and the rework — disappeared.

So we built APEX to close it: turn manufacturer shop-drawing PDFs into parametric Revit families, and connect the model directly to layout and survey. Today we're in private beta, running a development pilot at Cache Valley Electric — the founder's electrical contracting firm — proving every workflow on real drawings before it ships.

What drives us

What drives us

Mission

Automate the creation of construction-ready digital assets.

Vision

Connect BIM and the field through intelligent automation.

Our values

How we build

Built by construction pros

We've detailed, coordinated, and installed the work. Every decision is grounded in how the job actually runs.

Built for BIM teams

VDC and BIM coordinators are our users, not an afterthought. The tool fits the way modern model teams work.

Built for the field

A model only matters when it reaches layout and survey. We make the BIM-to-field handoff seamless.

Built to eliminate waste

Manual rework is the enemy. We automate the repetitive so teams can spend their time where it counts.

Milestones

The road so far

2024

Founded

Started by a founder from electrical contracting and data-center MEP project engineering who'd lived the manual-family grind firsthand and decided to fix it.

2025

First families generated

The pipeline produced its first parametric transformer families from manufacturer shop-drawing PDFs, with nested survey points.

Early 2026

Private beta

Development pilot at Cache Valley Electric — the founder's electrical contracting firm — generating content from real project drawings.

Mid 2026

Verified results

19 human-verified transformer families, each passing 6/6 validation checks in Revit 2025 — and 96.5/100 mean extraction accuracy across 20 real drawings. Trimble-compatible CSV export takes points to the field.

Development pilot

Proven on real drawings before it ships.
